Public Domain Day: January 1, 2024
It’s a new year and that mean new works once protected by copyright are now in the public domain. On January 1, 2024, thousands of copyrighted works from 1928 entered the U.S. public domain, along with sound recordings from 1923. Works include:
House at Pooh Corner (including the first introduction of Tigger)
Peter Pan (Play Manuscript)
Mickey Mouse’s cartoons: Steamboat Willie and Plane Crazy.
