Hannah Montana Scalped

by Tamera H. BennettOctober 9, 2007

Interesting story/podcast from NPR on record breaking ticket scalping of Hannah Montana concert tickets.

For those that do not have children under the age of 12, Hannah Montana is the a/k/a of Miley Cyrus of Disney Channel fame. Her famous Dad and TV co-star is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Ticketmaster sued software developer RMG Technologies based upon RMG's software that helps scalpers purchase blocks of tickets from online vendors such as Ticketmaster. The software blocks out other potential online ticket buyers.

Tickets to the Miley Cyrus November 9, 2007 show at the Staples Center in LA are being resold at www.stubhub.com starting at $95 and going up to $9,630 for a suite.
