Texas A&M Law School Named In Pilot USPTO Program

Congratulations to Texas A&M University School of Law for its selection to participate in the US Patent and Trademark Office Law School Clinic Certification Pilot Program.

Expanding the USPTO’s Law School Clinic Certification Pilot Program will provide more students – future intellectual property lawyers – with the real-world experience and tools crucial to tackle the complexities of today’s IP law landscape.
— Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the USPTO Michelle K. Lee

The participating law school clinical programs provide patent and trademark legal services to independent inventors and small businesses on a pro bono basis.

Texas A&M Law is building upon the great foundation of my alma mater Texas Wesleyan University School of Law which was acquired in August 2013.  As Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, the law school developed an award winning pro bono legal clinic helping residents of Fort Worth, Tex. and surrounding towns with family law, children's issues, and Social Security and SSI disability legal matters.

As a Texas Trademark lawyer and proud alum, I'm excited the USPTO recognized the excellence of the law school.
